Questions you should ask before choosing .....

At steel buildings we set ourselves high standards, however not all of our competitors have the same values. While the
internet makes the world smaller, it also allows low quality products to be sold. Companies no longer need to rely on
local reputation to survive and win orders. The internet allows them to reach new prospects that will not be aware of
the history of poor customer services or product delivery.
Therefore things we feel you should satisfy yourself of:
1.Can the company you’re considering provide, 3 or 4 recent references. And if they are provided, please ensure you
contact them.
2.Arrange a visit to a local recent building supplied.
3.Have you checked the financial status of the company or person you’re about to hand your money over to? It is now
easy to gain a financially ratings on line. Also if it’s a new business, has the director a history of failed business?
4.Check the quality of the buildings you’re considering. Are they all to the same standard? Not just in the way they
look, but the thickness and type of components they used. The method of construction. If it’s a cold rolled frame, are
all the members bolted together or some elements simply screwed together?
5.Will the company provide you with structural calculations as standard or only if requested?
6.Be sure that if you need an industrial spec building, ensure their quotation states that. If a design standard is
stated,google it.
7.Is the building fully braced?
8.Have you been asked the site location? If not, worry as this is very important to the design. If you have a coast
location, the building design requirement is very different to an inland location. Also it will differ from a town location
to a country location.
9.Ask yourself what you need from the building and expect. Security, quality etc. Research doors, bracing, components
etc.
10.Are you getting the same building do both buildings include things like fillers, drip flashings, door head flashing,
garage roller doors or industrial roller doors?
Steel buildings aren’t the only quality supplier in the market, we do consider ourselves to be one of the best. All we ask
is you do sufficient home work. Ensure that you do not join a long list of people with horror stories to tell who deal with
companies found on the internet. Without fully investigating their ability to deliver on promises and statements.
